Inaugural Nakuru City Festival Kicks Off

On this day, November 26, 2025, Nakuru County launched the Nakuru City Festival at Nyayo Gardens. This landmark event celebrated the city’s unique status as a UNESCO Creative City for Crafts and Folk Art, bringing together over 40 ethnic communities. 

Under the theme of promoting peaceful co-existence, the festival featured a vibrant week of music, traditional dance, and “wearable recycled crafts”. Presided over by Deputy Governor David Kones, the celebration transformed the city into a global stage for cultural heritage, networking, and local innovation, marking a significant milestone in Nakuru’s journey as Kenya’s youngest city
