A new era of connectivity dawned for the “Agricultural Capital” as Governor Sir Evelyn Baring officially opened the modern Nakuru Railway Station. Replacing the original 1904 structure, this sleek, neo-classical terminal became a vital heartbeat for the White Highlands, cementing Nakuru’s status as a premier commercial hub.
For decades, its platforms witnessed the bustle of farmers, travellers, and political icons like Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel arap Moi. Today, while the tracks carry the weight of history, the station remains an architectural gem and a symbol of Nakuru’s journey from a colonial outpost to a thriving Kenyan city.
The Station was again refurbished in 2022 and commissioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
