CO Samuel King’ori Dies of Covid-19

On this day in 2021, Nakuru County lost a dedicated public servant, Samuel King’ori, to COVID-19 complications. Serving as the Health Chief Officer, King’ori was a frontline “General” in Kenya’s battle against the pandemic. His leadership was defined by a tireless commitment to community health, notably mobilising over 1,000 volunteers to safeguard the public.

His passing at The Nairobi Hospital served as a sombre reminder of the virus’s heavy toll on healthcare leaders. Today, we remember his instrumental role in transforming Nakuru’s medical infrastructure and his selfless service to the Kenya Red Cross.
