The Governor’s Cup 2026 kicks off today, Sunday, August 16, across Nakuru County, with opening matches taking place in all 55 wards. The Governor launched the tournament on 13th June, 2026, at Afraha Stadium.
In Nakuru Town West Sub-County, teams from Kaptembwa, London, Rhonda, Kapkures and Shabab wards begin their campaigns at grounds across the five wards.

The Nakuru Town West fixtures form part of the opening round of the Governor’s Cup 2026, with matches getting underway across all 55 wards of Nakuru County.
Teams will compete through the Ward stages for an opportunity to advance to the Sub-county competition and ultimately the County finals.
The tournament brings grassroots football closer to communities while giving players a chance to compete, showcase their talent, and represent their wards.
